TORONTO, ON - Hot off the heels of his smash single, “Why Do I Even Try” receiving over 100,000 streams and downloads in its first two months of release, Canadian-born singer Cory Stewart announces his anthemic nu-disco single “Do You”, available on National Get Over It Day (Monday, March 9, 2020). The song, written and produced by Stewart and award-winning musician Gavin Bradley (Nelly Furtado, Kylie Minogue), is best described as a cross between Madonna‘s Confessions on a Dancefloor album and Kylie Minogue‘s Fever album; with a dash of ABBA.

Strategically at the midpoint between Valentine’s Day and April Fools Day, National Get Over It Day (March 9) was created by Jeff Goldblatt in 2005 after having trouble getting over an ex-girlfriend. Appropriately, Stewart’s “Do You” deals with themes of toxic relationships, betrayal, and unfaithfulness atop a relentlessly catchy arrangement and undeniably catchy lyrics and harmonies.

ABOVE: Stewart has received support from a number of well known LGBTQ+ personalities and artists on his new single, including
Mathew V, Slow Dance, Brock McGillis (WOW Presents), Kisos and others.

“Cory Stewart, one of Canada’s leading dance/pop recording artists, has done it again with his new single ‘Do You’. ‘Do You’ is an incredible blend of flavours from the 70′s disco days, the electro of the 80’s and the popping beats of the 90’s, brought together for today’s audience. You actually forget Stewart’s lyrics are a story of distrust and heartbreak. But that’s Cory. Even in bad times, he’s always finding a way to bring joy to the dance floor.” Rudy Blair, award-winning Canadian music journalist

After opening for legendary artists Boy George and Crystal Waters in 2018 and having highlighted 2019 with a number of successful stops on his ‘No More Trips Tour’, Stewart is looking forward to releasing his first full-length album entitled ‘dropdead’ later this year.

Stay tuned for much more to come from Stewart, including a list of upcoming 2020 tour dates.

‘Do You’ is available on the following platforms (and more) at 12:00 a.m. ET on March 9, 2020.
