In case you missed it, here is supermodel Stacey McKenzie in CBC’s Black History Month special: ‘Being Black in Canada.’

Back in January, Stacey had the privilege of returning to the first school she attended upon arriving to Canada: Lawrence Heights Middle School. Stacey was able to spend time with the students speaking to them as part of her Walk This Way Workshops and film the important CBC special which reflected on her youth in Canada.

“This special hour-long program includes interviews with track legend Donovan Bailey, supermodel Stacey McKenzie, historian Afua Cooper, Africville leader Irvine Carvery, Black Daddies Club Founder Brandon Hay, artist Anne-Marie Woods, journalist Dwight Drummond, Hip Hop star Drake, singer Divine Brown, artist Camille Turner, Justice Hall and Justice Rawlins. ”

Special thanks  to the students, staff and particularly Principal David deBelle for making this day happen!
